Here we have a beautiful antique Victorian solid oak stationary box. This fantastic piece has a lovely stained finish with silver tone metal decorative mountings at the corners and a shield emblem to the middle on both the top and front. The drawer is finished with a very nice handle with a lock. When the bottom drawer is pulled out the top pops up to reveal the letter rack with plenty of sections for storage.
The drawer itself has three sections of varying sizes. There is a number to the top inside of the drawer'RD 384841. In fantastic condition overall for the age, there is one small nibble to one bottom back corner and the fabric to the underneath is a bit tatty but could be easily removed and felted if desired.
A couple of small marks fitting with the age. Works like a charm when pulling the drawer, the top pops up nice and smoothly and stays open until you shut it. A very quality item that looks beautiful and is very functional! Unfortunately there is no key though. 20cm high, 29cm wide, 19cm deep.
