This beautiful example comes to us from the latter half of the 19th century. Drawing form from William & Mary styling combined with other historical English influences. Made from Quartersawn oak with a rectangular plank top that tilts upward to reveal an exquisite engraved back crest. The bench showcases a rectangular form with strong arm rest supported by turned baluster supports.The box shaped base features a beautifully carved front with mirrored serpents framed by a beaded trim. The seat lid lifts open for accessory storage. The piece is supported by bun feet with wooden casters. Good Antique Condition with gentle use related wear.
