Antique Victorian Style Fireplace Mantel - C. 1900 Quarter-Sawn Oak Architectural Salvage. The overall dimensions are 62 1/4" x 85 1/4" x 11 1/2" deep, and the opening for the fireplace is 41 1/2" x 39 tall.
The lower shelf is 50 1/2" off the floor and the top shelf is 79 1/2" off the floor. This mantel is very large, is made of solid quarter-sawn oak, and has very ornate Victorian style details including columns with a very ornate cap and base, egg and dart detail, beaded detail, applied hand-carved molding and an oval opening for the mirror (the mirror is broken). It is in beautiful condition and has the original shellac (varnish) finish with a beautiful aged patina.
